Non Surgical Scoliosis Treatment
The standard medical model for treating scoliosis in teens is wrong. For instance, the young patient is often diagnosed in Singapore during school screening and then referred to a doctor for x-rays to confirm the diagnosis. Here is where the first problem lies, if the scoliosis is below 25 degrees patient is asked to wait and see if the scoliosis will continue to get worse. This is when we should find an effective way to correct the small scoliosis curves; it would be so much easier. If the scoliosis curve is 25 degrees or above, then a brace is usually prescribed. The problem with bracing is that it is not very effective in preventing for further curve progression. This information can be easily verified by reading a few research papers. A scoliosis brace is also hard to wear in a tropical country like Singapore, because of the humidity and heat. Lastly, when the scoliosis curve reaches 45 to 50 degree orthopedic surgeons will say that surgery is necessary, unfortunately the is no medical evidence to support this recommendation and people have been shown to have near normal lives even with scoliosis curves reaching 100 degrees.
As a chiropractor and being certified by CLEARâ„¢ Institute and having earned the privilege to be part of their Board of Advisors, I believe that scoliosis fusion surgery is not the right thing to do for patients with adolescent idiopathic scoliosis. I believe that non surgical scoliosis treatment is the correct and natural way to preserve the function of the spine, that is, to provide mobility between different body segments. The doctor certification process is a long and rigorous process that shows CLEARâ„¢ Institute that the chiropractor is capable of correcting scoliosis by non surgical means following their treatment protocols.

Chiropractors are famous for treating scoliosis and other spinal problems because of their expertise in spinal adjustment
chiropractic physicians also conduct a careful analysis of the patient's structure and pay particular attention to the spine
I understand and fully agree on your reasoning. Chiropractors in highly developed countries, such as kitsportschiro is located, have the necessary technology to see if surgery is needed at such a young age, often the case is a minor brace fitting. But in developing countries, this is definitely the way to go, for youngsters especially who still plan to grow, should not have scoliosis treatment because it could have an impact on them in the long run.
Scoliosis is simply the dis-alignment or improper alignment of the spine in the body. The cause of scoliosis is generally unknown. It differs from age to age. Thanks for sharing some healthy information here. Nice sharing and keep posting.
I completely agree, thats pretty much what I was just telling my partner!
I read this on the last blog that I was at:
“In the 114 years since chiropractic began, the existence of chiropractic subluxations has never been objectively demonstrated. They have never been shown to cause interference with the nervous system. They have never been shown to cause disease. Critics of chiropractic have been pointing this out for decades, but now chiropractors themselves have come to the same conclusion.”
I find it funny how everyone bashes on Chiropractors claiming that “it is fake, just like acupuncture”. And yet, when someone hurts their back, the same people dont refer them to a surgeon, they simply say “You should see a Chiropractor”
Morons.
