Spinal manipulation for chronic cervicogenic headache is effective treatment.

A recently published study showed that spinal manipulation was effective in treating Chronic Cervicogenic Headache. They reported that "patients receiving SMT were also more likely to achieve a 50% improvement in pain scale". [SMT+ Spinal Manipulation Therapy]

Cervicogenic basically means that the headache has its cause and origin from the neck.

    Hi Richie90

I would guess the main difference is that cervicogenic headache is caused by the spinal structures in the neck, mainly the facet joints.
Tension headaches are caused by tensed muscles, whereas migraines can have multiple triggers.
