What are the types of treatment available for Cervical Spondylosis?
Hi,
I have been suffering from Cervical Spondylosis for over 15 years.. and recently it has kind of gotten worse as I start to feel numbness on my right arm more frequently. It could be due to my sleeping posture and also my job nature which faces the notebook throughout the day. What should I do? Any recommendations?
FYI. I had tried Chinese acupuncture and Tui na and Physiotherapy - neck traction. Does Chiropractic able to solve this problem? If so, why isn't it recommended by Doctors in the first place? To be frank, I am skeptical about it. http://www.fixneck.com/forum/images/icons/icon7.png
How about Ayurveda?

I was suffering with neck pain (diagnosed as cervical spondylosis) for more than 20 years. I sought treatment from allopathic doctors as well as osteopathy. Allopathy did not detect the problem and osteopathy did not even attempt to detect the problem. I had 2 sessions of chropratic treatment over a period of 2 years and it was only after my neck posture and curvature was treated and reversed that I started to feel better. I feel that I am 90% "cured" now with no pain for weeks except on those days that I sleep awkwardly or am stressed. I work with an lcd screen that is on a stand so that its at eye level. If you want to hear about my experience i would be happy to share...

causing Cervical Spondylosis
The most common cause of degeneration in the neck is due to increased stress on it. This stress or increased load is associated with poor posture or otherwise loss of normal curvature in the neck.
Sustaining poor posture for long periods of time, like while working with a laptop is not good and can induce structural changes in your spine.
While you are sleeping your neck is not under the weight of your head as it is supported by the pillow and will most likely not result into developing cervical spondylosis.
